The purposes of this article is to discuss how to bring the local industry demand for design into the course of product design in the teaching process of industry design, and find an available way to make the local industry demand for design and the student＇s special skills training interact harmoniously. An effective teaching mode is proposed with the analysis of local industry characteristics, need, and the student design ability in each different stage.
