With psychological analysis and perspective of feminism,this paper analyzes the heroine's inner experiences as a mother and a daughter in The Diaries of Jane Somers,in which Lessing's creative writing skills are presented.In the meantime,with the analysis of the heroine's self-identity quest,the paper points out the significance of mother-daughter relationship in the construction of female identity.
