According to the present situation of insufficient bearing capacity of most old stone arch bridges, this paper illustrates the urgency to strengthen old bridge, introduces several common strengthening technologies of stone arch bridge, and points out the advantages of each technology, in order to restore and improve the bearing capacity and traffic capacity of old bridge and to prolong its service life.
