The ethos is the spiritual backbone on which the survival and development of a nation depends, and, we must devote ourselves to cultivate and spread it. A socialist society is a harmonious society. To establish a harmonious society is required by the modem Chinese ethos and it will provide the spiritual backbone for carrying forward to the ethos.
