ASEAN Countries' New Measures to Strengthen the Competitiveness of Textile and Garment Sectors and Their Effects in the Post Quotas Era

自20世纪70年代以来,东盟国家相继发展纺织业,使东盟成为世界纺织服装重要生产出口基地。进入“后配额时代”以来,东盟各国政府和行业协会纷纷采取新的策略,拯救国内纺织服装业,使各国纺织品贸易基本都保持了良好的增长态势,顺利渡过无配额“元年”,并出现重新定位的趋势。

Since the 1970s, the ASEAN-10 developed their textile industries one after another, nevertheless, ASEAN countries have become the significant production and export bases of textile and garment in the world. Since the post quotas ear, the governments and associations of ASEAN- 10 have taken new measures to strengthen the competitiveness of textile and apparel sectors, and basically speaking, their exports continue to expand steadily. The garment and textile manufacturing in the ASEAN- 10 has showed the tendency of re - orientation after the quota system was removed in 2005.
