Developing Pragmatic Competence and English Speaking Teaching

本文从分析语言能力、语用能力和交际能力之间的关系入手,提出语用能力是交际能力的一个重要组成部分,大学英语口语教学必须重视语用能力的培养;重点探讨了如何在口语教学中培养学生的语用能力,从而进一步提高交际能力。

This article analyses the relationship among the linguistic competence, the pragmatic competence and the communicative competence, and it supports that the pragmatic competence is an important part of the communicative competence and it should be emphasized in English speaking teaching. It focuses on how to develop the pragmatic competence in English speaking teaching in order to improve the communicative competence further.
