CDMA core network is comprised by circuit network and packet data network, and is faced the problem of how to evolve to the all-IP network. There are two choices for the circuit network： to evolve to LMSD or not, the detailed analysis is given in the article. As the bear of the IMS network, packet data network is required to consider the security, quality of the services and the apperception of the up layer services, the detail is discussed in the article. To answer the question of using IMS as the session control layer of the all-IP network or not, a detailed discussion is given from the view of the maturation of the standardization, technology and the equipments of IMS. At the end of the paper the total evolution roadmap of CDMA core network is given.
