The next generation communication technology will bring to radio and TV both opportunities and challenges. How can radio and TV system give play to its own strong points and absorb commercial ideas of communication so that, while performing government's functions of propaganda, it implements the social benefit and economic returns---is a problem the radio and TV workers currently think on. A comprehensive and deep analysis of influence of NG communication transmission and access technologies on radio and TV development is made, and several problems arc put forward to note in development of radio and TV service.
