On the Issues of Religion in the Construction of the Socialist Harmonious Society

实现社会和谐,建设美好社会,始终是人类孜孜以求的社会理想,也是我党不懈追求的社会理想。构建社会主义和谐社会是一项浩繁的事业,需要社会各界力量的共同奋斗。宗教作为一支不可忽视的社会力量,应当挖掘宗教教义中蕴涵的有关和谐的思想资源,采取多种方式和途径,动员信教群众努力为构建社会主义和谐社会做出贡献。

Constructing a harmonious and happy society is an unremitting social ideal of mankind and our Party. The construction of a socialist harmonious society is a tremendous cause and require the joint efforts from all fields of the society. Religion, as a force not to be ignored, should gain more attention to its religious docrine which may contain the harmonious thoughts. Our Party should adopt possible ways to mobilize people in religious conscience to devote themselves to construct the socialist harmonious society.
