摘要
基质金属蛋白酶系（matrix metalloproteinases，MMPs）是一组在降解细胞外基质（extracellularmatrix，ECM）过程中起主要作用的锌、钙依赖性蛋白水解酶家族。MMPs参与人体正常的诸多生理过程中的ECM的保持与修正，不正常MMPs的表达与激活也参与人体众多病理生理过程，如肿瘤的生长和迁徙、炎症反应、动脉粥样硬化的形成等。
