《红楼梦》中对奴仆之间矛盾的描写是其广博深邃的思想内容不可或缺的部分。对大观园内大小丫鬟之间矛盾斗争的描写,证明众女儿不仅有美的一面,也有丑的一面;也说明作者对宝玉说的女儿是“水做的骨肉”是采取批判的态度的。这证明宝玉的思想不是作者的思想。奴仆之间的矛盾同他们不同“主子”间的矛盾有千丝万缕的关系,它们相互影响,相互作用。奴仆间矛盾斗争的公开化和表面化又是贾府开始衰落的信号和表现。奴仆间内部的较斗和倾轧,是封建社会等级制度造成的罪恶,是作者对封建社会及其上层建筑进行批判的内容之一。

The descriptions of contradictions between the servants is an indivisible part of the extraordinarily extensive and profound thoughts in the Dream of the Red Mansions. The descriptions of the contradictions between the older and younger maids in Daguanyuan confirms that there were a beautiful side and a ugly side among the servant girls; also shows that the author took a critical attitude to Baoyu＇s words that ＂girls are made of water＂. It is confirmed that Baoyu＇s opinion is not the author＇s view. There are very closed relationships between the servants＇ conflicts and their bosses＇ contradictions, that they influence each other and interact each other. Making the contradictions public and becoming apparent between the servants were hints and appearance of declination in the Jias＇ residence. The conflict against each other between the inner servants is a crime made in feudal system and is also one of the contents that the author criticized the feudalism and its upper construction.
