在语言学习中,与颜色相关词汇的应用相当广泛,在不同文化不同环境中含义亦十分丰富,如果对背景知识不了解而盲目猜测则会引起对原文、短语这样或那样的误解,从而无法进行成功的文化交流。因此,语言学习者除了正确了解颜色词的表面含义外,还应探究颜色词所存在的语境及其他背景知识。本文从英语学习中常见的十种基本颜色词汇的基本词义入手,对颜色词在商务环境中独特的词义进行了分析和概述。

In language learning, color terms are widely adopted, with abundant and various meanings in different language background. Misunderstanding will arise out of lack of understanding in cultural background, which leads to failure in communication one way or another. Thus, apart from the master of literal meaning of color terms, language learners should explore and understand the language context and other background knowledge that color terms exist in. Focusing on ten basic colors, the paper illustrates and analyzes the unique meanings of color terms in business English.
