Reading is an important way for students to get information. Meanwhile, reading comprehension plays a significant role in their overall comprehension of English. In the daily teaching activities, many effective measures could be taken to cultivate and improve the reading competence of students, such as to promote vocabulary teaching, make the most of grammatical knowledge, introduce background infromation and some reading tips, etc.
