陶行知师从杜威,但决不照搬杜威的思想。他否定了实用主义教育观,创造了“生活即教育”理论,为旧中国的教育探索了一条新路,对现实的教育教学改革十分有益。

Tao Xingzhi learned from Du Wei, but never copied his. He denied the viewpoint of practicalism education, and created the theory of ＂education can be shown everywhere＂. All these has blazed a new trail for Chinese education, and has been very beneficial to the improvement of present instruetion.
