日本从1886年开始实行义务教育,依靠国民的重视与支持、经费和法律的保障、充足和高质量的教师队伍等条件,到1948年全面普及了九年义务教育。普及速度之快是罕见的。阐述了日本义务教育的普及过程、日本得以迅速全面普及和巩固义务教育的原因,及其对我国当前全面普及和巩固义务教育工作的启示。

Japan had implemented compulsory education since 1886, and had popularized nine-year compulsory education in an all-round way by 1948, depending on such conditions as people＇s attention and support, the guarantee of funds and law, sufficient and high-quality teachers, etc, which is a rare event to do so at such high speed. This text explains the course of its＇ compulsory education, the reason why Japan can do so rapidly in an all-round way, and what China can learn from Japan in this respect.
