进化论、认知科学以及控制论中存在的争论或对立,看似毫不相关,实际上,它们都可以归结为计算和动态之间的冲突。这一点从三个学科的发展历程可以看出来。澳大利亚哲学家Gelder详细分析了这种冲突,而Santa Fee研究所的物理学家Crutchfield一直试图调和这种矛盾。Crutchfield建立的计算力学是一个新的理论框架,计算表示推理,而力学是指物质的运动规律。ε机是这个框架下的一个初步的成果,它完全可以发展成一种新的计算智能方法。计算力学的研究将有力的推动上述三个学科的发展。
The disagreement or opposition in evolutionism, cognition and cybernation, seems no any relation among them. In fact they can all be reduced to conflict between computation and dynamic. This viewpoint can be concluded from the developing course of the three disciplines. The Australian philosopher Gelder analyzed this conflict in detail. The physicist of Santa Fe Institute Crutchfield tried to harmonize such conflict by a new theoretical frame, computational mechanics. Computation means inferring and mechanics means searching essential rules. In this frame, epsilon machine is an elementary tool and it can be viewed as a new computational intelligence. Any improvement in computational mechanics will promote above three disciplines.
