Since the third session of the llth central committee, the,cultural system reform in our country has roughly experienced three stages. The paper holds that the reform must persist in the guiding position of Marxism, the direction of advanced socialist culture, the orientation of socialist market economy, the correct policy of promoting the culture cause and industry, and the coordination of system reform of politics and economy.
