This paper presents the technological process of a material control system in an automatic automobile press line and gives an introduction about the design of the system hardware and software in a systematic way, including the key technique of the system, which has been used in the JAC automobile press line successfully. The application has proved that the system is stable and reliable. It can satisfy the specified production rhythm and positioning accuracy.
