Translating Shaoxing Mingshi Culture in Light of Skopostheorie:Problems and Suggested Solutions

本文旨在目的论框架内探讨绍兴名士文化的翻译问题及对策。文章首先概述目的论的核心内容,探讨了该理论对名士文化翻译的适用性,运用Nord的翻译失误分析模式详细考察了译本中的四类翻译失误,分析了失误的原因,最后结合目的论的启示提出对策及建议。

This paper aims to explore the English translation of Shaoxing mingshi culture within the framework of skopostheorie. The main ideas of the theory are summararized,followed by a discussion of its theoretical applicability to translating Shaoxing mingshi culture.Then the author, drawing on Nortl＇ s analytical model （1997）, examines four types of translation errors existing in the translated texts and analyzes the underlying reasons. The paper concludes with some suggestions to solve the translation problems.
