东乡族族源“撒尔塔”说商榷——兼论东乡族的形成

On the Origin of the Dongxiang Ethnic Group:A Discussion on "Saerta" ——On the Formation of Dongxiang Ethnic Group

文章回顾了近年来东乡族族源研究状况,对各种观点进行述评,重点分析、探讨了近年较为盛行的撒尔塔人为主说,从三方面指出此说立论不足;同时从东乡族形成的社会历史背景和形成过程提出了自己的看法,并指出东乡族早期的形成过程和临夏部分回族是一致的,她们是同源异流群体。

In this paper, the author, based on a review of recent study of the origin of the Dongxiang ethnic group, by making an evaluation of various different points of view, mainly analyzes and explores the view of ＂Saerta＂, which is prevalent in recent years. It is pointed out that the view of ＂Saerta＂ cannot hold water from three aspects. Furthermore, based on an analysis of its social and historical background of the Dongxiang ethnic group, it is suggested that the formation of the Dougxiang ethnic group at its early stage is in line with some of the Hui ethnic group inhabited in Linxia. They shared the same origin but formed different ethnic groups.
