民族院校英文报刊阅读教学的现状及思考

On Present Situation and Reflections on the Teaching of Course of the Selective Readings of English Newspapers and Periodicals in Universities for Nationalities in China

英文报刊阅读课程是一门培养学生综合英语技能,尤其是实用阅读能力的重要专业课。对于为国家少数民族地区培养专门人才的民族院校,其英语专业的英文报刊阅读教学状况却不尽如人意,存在着理论指导缺乏、现有教材不适用和教学方法不当等问题,针对存在的问题,试从教材使用、教学内容和教学方法等方面,就民族院校英文报刊阅读教学提出了几点建议和思考,以求对民族院校英语阅读教学有所裨益。

The Selective Readings of English Newspapers and Periodicals is a very fundamental but important course to train English majors＇comprehensive English skills, esp. reading skill. As the universities which cultivate the specialists for minority areas in China, universities for nationalities in China have confronted some problems in the teaching of course of the selective Readings of English Newspapers and Periodicals such as the lack of the theoretical guidance, the suitable teaching materials and the appropriate teaching methods. After analyzing the causes to those problems, this paper tries to propose some effective and beneficial countermeasures to solve the problems from the aspects of selection of teaching materials, the arrangement of teaching contents and the flexibility of teaching methods.
