摘要
虚拟制造（virtual manufacturing，VM）技术是1980年代末从先进制造技术发展起来的新技术。随着计算机技术的迅速发展，自1990年代以来，它得到人们的极大重视，获得迅速发展。
Virtual manufacturing technology is being combined with technologies of virtual reality,advanced manufac- turing,computer network,stereo vision and digital art.Using advanced computer hardware and special soft- ware with interactive Input/Output devices,the technology is putting in use in the entire manufacturing pro- cess like product design,enterprise layout etc.
