The Differences of Aesthetics between Confucius and Plato

通过对孔子和柏拉图美学思想基础和本质差异的研究,探讨了其产生差异的原因。孔子美学思想的基础是仁学,而柏拉图的美学基础则是理念论。就美学的本质而言,孔子的美学是一种生命美学,而柏拉图的美学则是知识美学。产生这种差异的原因是因为社会历史条件、思想文化状况乃至哲学思维方式的不同造成的。

Based on the discussion of the different ideological base of Confucius and Plato, this study explores the causes for the appearances of this difference. The basis of Confucius Aesthetics is Benevolence while Plato＇ s is Idealism. As for the nature of the aesthetics, Confucius＇ s is a kind of life aesthetics and Plato＇ s is a kind of knowledge aesthetics. The reason for the differences is due to the social and historical conditions, the ideological and cultural situation of the different ways of thinking and even philosophy.
