佐藤长的《古代西藏史研究》结合敦煌古藏文史料和吐蕃碑刻,以汉文记载为主,同时参考国外其他学者的研究成果对吐蕃王朝的历史进行深入研究,学术价值较高。文中某些提法,如吐蕃与中国并列等述说,只代表作者的观点,非本刊所赞同。本刊从本期开始将连载邓锐龄先生投寄的译文,以供研究者参考。

The Research of Ancient Tibetan History written by Satotyo is of high academic value.Combing with Tibetan historical materials in Dunhuang and Tubo tablet inscriptions,mainly recorded by Chinese language with some other foreign research results as reference,this work conducts a deep study on the history of the Tubo dynasty.Some opinions such as the statement that Tibetan regime in ancient China and China's regime stand side by side in this paper only stand for the author's own viewpoint,but not for our journal,which will publish a serial of Mr.Deng Ruiling's translations for researchers' reference.
