弗吉尼亚.伍尔夫是一个少有的自觉为女性而写作的作家。她将叙事革新和女性主义思想揉和在创作实践中,建构起突破性的女性主义叙事形态。其女性主义叙事立场即为发出“女性的声音”。为了发出这个声音,伍尔夫作了极大努力:挑战男性中心主义的叙事权威氛围;从发掘女性文学传统中获得动力;诉求女性叙事自由的物质空间和精神空间。

Virginia Woolf was a rare writer who wrote for the female. She combined the innovation of narration with the feminism thought in her creation practice, establishing unprecedented feminism narration form. Her feminism narration standpoint was to speak out the female voice. To do this, Woolf made great efforts to challenge the atmosphere of the narrative authority of male centralism, to obtain power from the feminism literature tradition and to appeal to the material and spiritual space of the female narration freedom.
