贾雨村热衷仕途,有宏伟抱负与不凡从政才能,迥异于贾政的为官之路。他相时而动甚至逐流扬波。他顺应了时代更被环境腐蚀,由一个难得的才俊蜕化为社会的蛀虫。他的悲剧,一方面表明人性的丑陋与贪婪,另一方面更昭示了社会的腐朽。本文从入仕理想的角度考察了《红楼梦》中典型人物的恪守、顺应的不同求索历程,剖析了士人无路可走的仕途求索困境。

Jia Yueun, relying on his grand ambition and unusual talent, is addicted to official career. Different from Jia Zheng＇s strategy in officialdom, Jia Yucun takes appropriate measures in llne with the situation and even follows the prevailing social stream. He is corrupted by the society, degrading from a rare talent into a borer of the society. His tragedy for one thing reflects the ugliness and greed of human nature; and for another exhibits the corruption of the whole society. This article, from the perspective of ideal of official career, explores Jia Yucun, the representative character in A Dream in Red Mansions, who first abides by his own ideals and then follow the social stream. It also analyzes the dilemma the scholars faced in pursing an official career.
