摘要
采用助熔剂法并配以加速坩埚转动技术生长出钆铋铁石榴石(GdBiIG)单晶,在近红外区(0.9~1.7μm)测量了它的法拉第旋转谱和光吸收谱.从GdBiIG的磁光优值谱与YIG的磁光优值谱比较表明,GdBIIG是一种优良的磁光晶体.
i-substituted gadolinium iron garnet(GdBiIG) single crystals have been grown by flux method with accelerated crucible rotation technique. The Faraday rotation spectrum and optical absorption spectrum of samples were measured in near infrared region. Comparing to the Magnetic-optical figure of merit for YIG,the CdBilG's figure of merit is larger. It indicates that GdBiIG crystals are excellent Magneto-optical materials.
