摘要 Since 1990s, the economic and trade relations between China and the United States have been developing steadily and rapidly. In 1996, China became the fourth largest trading partner of the United States and rose to the third largest in 2003. In 2006, the bilateral trade relation entered a new stage when China, Since 1990s, the economic and trade relations between China and the United States have been developing steadily and rapidly. In 1996, China became the fourth largest trading partner of the United States and rose to the third largest in 2003. In 2006, the bilateral trade relation entered a new stage when China, by surpassing Mexico, became America's second biggest trading partner. Since the new century, U.S. export to China has increased with high speed due to China's rapid economic development and the expansion of demands. In 2000, China was just the tenth biggest export market for the United States, but it rose to the fifth place in 2004. If Hong Kong is taken into account, China had become America's third biggest export market in 2005.
