On the Metaphoric Meaning of the Pulmonary Tuberculosis Image in Modern Literature

疾病与文学发生联系古已有之,肺病更是文学作品中的一个常见意象。现代文学30年可以说是肺病意象的狂欢时代。在现代文学的特殊语境中,肺病作为一种特殊意象被赋予了与民族、社会、人性、女权等有关的隐含喻义。论文试图从鲁迅、丁玲、郁达夫三位作家的小说入手,对现代小说中的肺病意象进行一次现象的梳理和诗学的阐释。

Illness has long been linked with literature since ancient times, and the image of pulmonary tuberculosis is widely used in literary works. The initial 30 years of modern Chinese literature can be considered the revelry time of pulmonary tuberculosis, because in the special context of modern literature pulmonary tuberculosis as a unique image has been endowed with metaphoric meanings associated with nationality, society, humanity, feminism, etc. By probing into the novels of Lu Xun, Ding Ling and Yu Dafu, this paper attempts to systematize and expound on the image of pulmonary tuberculosis in modern literature.
