Zhang Bao-he is a clapper talk artist popular with inhabitants in northwest China. His clapper talk, drawing on the military and civilian life in northwest China and eulogizing the development of the northwest and conducting well-meaning criticism of unhealthy practice and public morals, has played a positive role in stimulating people＇s enthusiasm for construction and in moulding sound personality. His clapper talk is characterized by concrete, honest and interesting language.
