作为一个有争议的历史人物,曾国藩不仅深受国内学术界的重视,也受到不少国外学者的研究。本文介绍了美国学者黑尔研究曾国藩的专著《曾国藩与太平天国》,评述了其学术观点和研究内容,展示了该作者独特的学术视角。
As a disputed historic figure, Zeng Guofan is a focusing topic in Chinese academic circles, and is also reserched by many foreign scholars. This essay introduced Tseng Kuo-fan and Taiping Rebellion, a monograph written by American scholar W. J. Hail, reviewed the author＇s academic opinion and pointed out his special researching angle.
