On Zhu Xi's I-Ching studies

朱熹之易学,以其特有的易学风格,在中国易学史上占有着重要的地位;朱熹易学之价值,在于他把易学看成是一门变易的学问,即所谓的“尚其变”。通过对朱熹易说的几个独具特色的探讨,揭示朱熹易学中的辩证法因素,及他在易学上所取得的卓越成就;同时,亦指出朱熹易学和哲学思想上的不足,以及他所处历史条件的局限性。

Zhu Xi＇s I-Ching studies enjoys an important position in the history of Chinese I-Ching stud- ies with its unique features. The value of Zhu Xi＇s I-Ching studies lies in that he takes I-Ching studies as a special branch of learning on change,which is illustrated by ＂change-highlighted＂. With the discussion of several unique aspects of Zhu Xi＇s I-Ching studies,this article points to the dialectics in his studies and his outstanding achievements,while,at the same time, revealing his shortcomings in I-Ching studies and philosophy as well as his limitations.
