世界铁路总里程呈不断减少趋势．目前133个国家拥有铁路总里程约115万km。其中．电气化铁路约27万km，平均电化率24％。最大的路网是美国铁路约有23万km．其次是俄罗斯铁路约为86万km。
The development of railway all over the world has three phases, developing, declining and resuscitate. Now, the high-speed railway is popular. This article introduces from three parts. First, it intro d uces the course and development direction of the high-speed railway. Then, the author tells the general situation of the high-speed railway including its appearance and development. Finally, the article introduces the construction of railroad in four segments, which separately tell of the roadbed, tramroad, bridge and tunnel.
