In the offset printing, i.e. planographic printing, all details of the printed picture are located on a plane of the printing plate, the working mechanism of printing operation is based on the water-ink equilibrium over the surface of the printing plate. During practical printing, it is necessary to refill continuously the printing ink and also the wetter on the surface of the printing plate to ensure an adequate hydrophilic surface on the void area thus preventing the diffusion of the ink and keeping an adequate water-ink equilibrium.
