美国商业银行在经历了20世纪80年代中后期的困难时期后,从90年代初至今持续保持良好的盈利性,是历史上盈利性最好的时期。而这一时期也是美国银行业的变革进入高潮再逐步稳定的时期。本文以此为背景,考察美国商业银行整体及不同规模商业银行十几年来的盈利性发展特征,分析其影响因素,以期为改革与开放不断深化进程中的中国各类商业银行提供一些参考和借鉴。

Having experienced difficulties in late 1980s, US commercial banks kept strong profitability from early 1990s, and even setting new record. During this period, transformation of US banking industry came to the highlights and gradually back to stability.
