This paper introduces the principle of OFDM technology and MIMO technology as well as the key technology of the combination of OFDM and MIMO in 4G. The key technology of OFDM and MIMO system include the channel estimation, synchronization technique, diversity scheme and space-time coding technique. The combination of OFDM and MIMO will conquer the frequency selected fading, increase the data transmission rate and improve the system capacity; it is the hot question of the mobile communication in 4G.
