5/3小波图像压缩及DSP实现

5/3 Wavelet Image Compression and its Implementation by DSP

摘要 对于高分辨率相机所成图像来说,数据量是非常巨大的,光用软件来进行压缩远远不能满足实时性的要求。离散小波变换是当今许多图像处理和压缩技术的基础。JPEG2000是最新的静态图像压缩标准,其核心算法是小波变换,5/3小波提升方法在JPEG2000中主要用于无损图像压缩。提出对基于因式分解的提升格式(第二代小波的构造方法)的5/3小波的改进,并采用了TMS320C6416实现的了该算法。DSP实验结果证明该提升5/3小波变换具有处理速度快、实时性强、压缩比大、恢复效果好的特点。 For images of high - resolution camera, the amount of data is tremendous. It is impossible to satisfy the request of real - time compression ratio by using software only. The discrete wavelet transformation is the foundation of the image procession and compression technology nowadays. JPEG2000 is the latest static image compression standard, and its core algorithm is wavelet transformation. Promoted 5/3 wavelets are mainly used on lossless image compression in the JPEG2000. In this paper, we introduced the constructive method of the second -generation wavelet - the promoted format based on factorization, put forward the improvements to 5/3 wavelet, and adopt TMS320C6416 to realize it. The result of DSP experiment proved that the promoted 5/3 wavelet transformations have the characteristics of quick processing, strong real -time, big compression ratio and perfect recover effect.
