摘要
影响因子被用来评价科技期刊、科研人员及科研机构的学术水平,但由于学科间规模、发展速度不同,导致不同学科的期刊拥有不同的半衰期和文献利用规律,因此把影响因子直接用于不同学科间期刊的评价是不公平的。为了避免这种不公平,提出了“标准化影响因子”的概念,它通过对科技期刊的影响因子进行一次非线性转换和线性转换而得到,可以减小影响因子在评价不同学科期刊时的误差。
The impact factors of academic journals have been used to measure capacity, efficiency and quality of researchers and research institutions. While the journal assessment using impact factors is unfair in different disciplines due to different half-life and citing density. To minimize the inaccuracy and unfairness of using journal impact factors in evaluating and comparing the quality of journals, researchers and research institutions in different disciplines, this study proposes a standard value system. In this system, the journal impact factors are transformed to standard values conforming to normal distribution by nonlinear conversion. The standard value system will minimize the discrepancies of the impact factor assessment across the disciplines by considering the journal ranking in the discipline.
