摘要
对开源软件在数字图书馆的应用进行理性思考:①数字图书馆开源软件发展应遵守开放、协作性开发的思路;②尽管大多数开源软件的费用要低于相应商业软件的费用,但开源并不等于免费,开源软件的费用包括软件许可费、开发费用以及后期维护费用等;③建立开源软件的良性生态环境需从开源社区、开源项目和开源人才等多方面着手,并非一日之功。
The paper takes a rational thinking on the application of open source software （hereafter OSS） in digital library field： ①The development of OSS in digital library should obey the basic idea which is openness, collaboration and development. ②Though in many cases the cost of OSS seems lower than those associated with library reliance upon commercial software, open source dose not mean free and the real costs in the OSS＇s application involve liences fee, development fee and maintenance fee. ③The sustainable development of OSS in digital library lies in the following three factors： open source community, open source projects and open source talents.
