Discriminating racial policy has kept Afro-Americans restricted in a monistic cultural mode while facing multi-cuhural elements. With distorted personaity, negroes, as "adjustmentdefined" race, have to turn to violence for self-identity. Native Son, a name for the novel by Richard Wright, together with the Protagonists' names, have built up a highly metaphorical code system deconstructing the traditional WASP( White Anglo-Saxon Protestant) model and revealing the Afro-American dual identity--negroness as well as American belongings. Besides, Negro ethnic culture has been firstly admitted by the dominant American culture, providing the possibility of muhi-cuhural development in American and global literature.
