摘要 介绍了MPEG-4压缩标准,阐述了其编码结构和语法。在此基础上设计了一个以MAP-CA DSP芯片为核心的视频压缩系统。系统可同时完成两路MPEG-4视频压缩,支持视频图像实时预览,视频由它直接传送到显存,压缩的码流也由它直接传送到内存,无需主机CPU介入作任何操作,并通过PCI接口传送到内存中,不占用CPU资源。 The coding structure and the expression of MPEG-4 are introduced. A compression system of the video is designed based on MAP-CA. The system can accomplish two-route-MPEG-4-video compression at the same time. It supports the video image previewed in real time. The video image is straightly carried to the storage and the compressed code stream is straightly carried to the memory. The CPU does not need to do anything in the process. It may occupy no resource of CPU if the image is carried to the storage by the PCI interface.
