The data collection principle of a kind of hydrostatic levelling systems based on charge-coupled device （CCD） is introduced. Some methods for raising the resolution of CCD and the requirements of the system to the programming are summarized. The data collection system includes the data collection, the data storage and data transmission. The function index includes the reality, the reliability and the rapidity. The software function includes the setup of object, the setup of data collecting state, data handling and good working interface. Finally, the data collection system is verified by the experiment.
