Development and Design of Urban Waterfront New Zones——Take the Design and Development of No. 1 Block of Taihu Lake Project in Wuxi for Example

无锡太湖城一号地块开发设计注重项目的功能策划与定位,强调创建布局合理、配套齐全、环境优美和谐的商务区和居住区;注重空间结构形态,形成“U”形的向心性空间;充分利用太湖水景观,引水入居住区,形成树枝状水景系统。整个项目通过创造优美的环境和良好的开发前景吸引外部投资。

Stress is laid on the functional planning and orientation in the development and design of No. 1 Block of Taihu Lake Project in Wuxi. Emphasis is given to the creation of a business and residential area that is properly arranged, fully equipped, with harmonious and beautiful environment. Attention is paid to the spatial structural configuration, forming the centripetal space in the shape of ＂U＂. By making full use of the waterscape of the Lake Taihu, the plan has introduced the water into the residential area to form a waterscape system in arborization shape. The whole project has attracted lots of investments through the creation of beautiful environment and its bright prospect of development.
