The rulers of Qing Dynasty before its entrance into Shanhai Pass ordered to compile and translate both Chinese and Mongolian documents related to its administrative experiences and historical lessons and militaries due to the practical requirement of knowing the politics, militaries and the comparatively advanced culture of the nationalities living around. As a result, the earliest documents in the Man language came into being and later, documents in Man, Mongolian and Chinese were compiled, too. Therefore, documents in the Man and Mongolian languages experienced the historical period of "growing out of nothing".
