The Relationship between the First Period of Geru Sect and the Central Regime

15世纪初,格鲁派通过宗喀巴的宗教改革而创立,以其纯正的宗教思想和严密的佛学体系而新兴起来,格鲁派的兴起改变了当时西藏各教派和地方政治势力的格局,引起了明王朝的重视;而初兴的格鲁派亦顺应了明初以稳定与巩固西藏地方政治秩序为重点的治藏政策,与中央政权建立起密切、稳固的关系。

The Geru sect of Tibetan Buddhism was established by Zongkeba through religious reform in early 15th century, growing up based on pure religious thought and thorough Buddhist system. The growing of the Geru sect brought some changes to current situation of other Tibetan sects and the native political powers, then it aroused the attention of the Ming dynasty; While the early Geru sect also obeyed the Tibet-ruling policy which put stability and consolidation of Tibetan local political order in the center. It established close and solid relation with central regime.
