摘要
本文通过LOB英国书面语语料库的检索,探讨了beyond作为介词的主要三个语义范畴及其搭配范式,初步归纳了beyond的语义图式。接着,作者调查了LOB和CLEC语料库中beyond的使用情况,比较分析了本族语者和中国学习者在beyond运用中的差异,并讨论了产生差别的可能原因,以及语料库和语义图式对英语教学的启示。
This paper makes an exploratory study on the semantic schema of the preposition "beyond" in the LOB corpus, where its semantic categories and collocational pattern are investigated. A corpusbased comparison is carried out in order to find out the difference between EFL and the English native on the use of "beyond". Finally, iraplications of semantic schema are drawn in terms of vocabulary teaching.
