The Differences of Thinking Patterns in the Course of Translation from English to Chinese

语言与思维密切相关。汉英民族思维的差异导致汉语和英语表达迥异。由于英译汉的过程既是语言形式转换的过程,也是思维转换的过程,因此有必要对汉英民族思维的差异作出分析。

Language and thinking are closely interrelated. Chinese thinking patterns differ from those of English; therefore, ideas are expressed in different ways in the two languages. The course of translation from English to Chinese is the course of transformation not only in language forms but also in thinking patterns. So it is necessary to make an analysis of the thinking patterns＇ differences between Chinese and English.
