Contrastive Analysis of Women Characters created by Bing Xin and Zhang Ai-ling

现代文学史中,冰心与张爱玲所塑造的女性形象是"淑女"和"俗女"的对照,虽泾渭分明,却都基于作者自身的人生体验和对世间百态的洞察。她们殊途同归,奠定了现代意义上女性写作的基础。

In the history of contemporary literature, the women characters created by Bing Xin were gentlewomen while in comparison the women characters created by Zhang Ailing were common women. Though entirely different, they were all based on the writers＇ own experience and own perception of society. Eventually, they reached the same goal by different routes, which laid the foundation of modern female writing.
