During the past three decades, considerable progress has been made in the pathogen (Slykhuis, 1976; Bai et al., 2001; Fang et al., 2001; Isogai et all, 2001; Zhang et al., 2001; Distéfano et al., 2002), epidemiology and conditional control methods (Cheng and Zhang, 2005) of MRDD. But there have no reports about the mapping of gene conferring resistance to maize rough dwarf disease.
