In this paper, the back pressure of the 6110A diesel particulate filter versus its speed, the filter length and porosity was studied by a lot of experiments. And the effects of the exhaust back pressure on engine power and fuel consumption were also studied. An optimal filter for the 6110A diesel was suggested based on the exhaust back pressure and trap efficiency.
